| PADMANAVA
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, set up in the academic year
1999-2000 and
situated in the western part of the state , is a premier institute,
which offers degree courses in diffrent branches of Engineering. It
fuctions under the aegis of
"Padmanava Educational Trust", a
Bhubaneswar based non-government and non-profitable organisation managed
by a pair of "sucess-addicts" with trails of achievements in
the field of industry, mining and foreign trades, with a vision across
the time, to enrich the Human Capital of the Nation to the height of
excellence through technological empowerment.

The
college provides education in four branches of Engineering viz. ,
Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics
and Telecommunication and Electrical and electronics branches
leading to the B.E. degree of Sambalpur University.All the above
courses are designed by
Sambalpur University, with emphasish on
developing the socio-cultural values and techno-managerial skills.With
continous research and feed-back from industries, the institute takes
special care in devising effective methods of instruction through
regular lectures, intensive sessionals, seminars aqnd interactive GD,
inviting Guest lecturers from academic and industrial world, Project
assignments and Industrial Training, with an aim of grooming every
student, considering them as a National asset to be high achievers.

| One
of the remarkable strength of
PCE is its faculty, comprising of persons
with outstanding academic merit, adequate experience and proven
teaching skills with strong dedication to the cause of
imparting quality education.
|
LABORATORY |
| The
well equiped spacious laboratories of PCE are designed and set up
as per the norms of AICTE and Sambalpur University, with an aim to
provide every student the scope to critically examine the theoritical
aspects and to develop the required skill. Besides the Physics and
chemistry laboratory, the Electronics Laboratory(Analog, Circuit Design
& Testing, Digital and Communication) is well equipped with mordern
and computerised gadgets. The Computer laboratory of the institute is
equipped with 109 PCs(800MHz/ P-III). Two internet laboratories of the
institute enjoy connectivity through VASAT
which are being
upgrade to achieve a student-system ratio of 1:1, with 300 systems from
the ensuing session. PCE maintains A/V Room with multimedia
presentation for 30 students a batch.

| The institute takes utmost care to expose the students to the real life requirements of industry and social commitment while arranging the satutory vocational summer Training. The institute also provides Inhouse Summer Training to the students with the help of reputed companies in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology like SQL Star International Ltd. & NOVELL. PCE has one Technical forum for each department that conducts Seminars, Quiz and Group Discussions involving the students so as to enhance their technical skills and knowledge apart from usual academic progress. Besides, the institute has a Training and Placement cell manned by experienced Public Relation and Human Resource Professionals and is in the process of developing rapport with prospective employers in due course of time. The management is quit confident for the future of the students of PCE. | PCE
has provisions for academic scholarship ranging from
Rs.100/- to Rs.
500/- per month to meritorios students(JEE Rank holders only) who
maintain good academic record with good conduct and discipline in each
semester to the satiafaction of the scholarship comittee specially
formed for the purpose.
